About
My name is Trish and I am an Indigenous (Mi'kmaw) Licensed Professional Counselor and Perinatal Mental Health specialist offering telehealth therapy throughout Oregon. My Indigenous culture and identity shapes the way that I show up as a human being, therapist, and informs the value I place on relationships, culture, community, and honoring each person’s whole story. I love working with thoughtful, caring people who may appear capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unlike themselves internally. In my perinatal work, I support people navigating pregnancy, birth trauma, pregnancy or infant loss, NICU and medical experiences, postpartum adjustment, intrusive thoughts, identity changes, relationship strain, and the emotional complexities of parenting. I bring warmth, steadiness, and thoughtful direction to therapy. My goal is to offer a space where you do not have to minimize your experience, hold everything together, or carry it all alone.
Care Philosophy
I believe healing happens through genuine connection and a therapeutic process that honors the whole person. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, collaborative, and attentive to both the mind and body. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we gently explore the experiences, relationships, cultural contexts, and nervous-system patterns beneath them. Our work is paced with care so that change feels supported and integrated rather than rushed or forced. When appropriate, I also incorporate EMDR to help process distressing experiences, reduce their emotional intensity, and support a greater sense of safety and connection in the present. Drawing from evidence-based Western psychology alongside Indigenous and holistic understandings of healing, I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, values, identities, and lived experiences. My goal is to create a respectful, affirming space where every part of your story can be met with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment.
